NV Energy Senior Energy Assistance Expo
The NV Energy Senior Energy Assistance Expo provides an opportunity for seniors age 62 or older to meet in person with NV Energy customer service representatives and determine if they may be eligible for assistance with past-due balances. Qualifying seniors may receive up to $350 in energy assistance through Project REACH as a bill credit. Payment arrangements and additional NV Energy services will also be available. The NV Energy Foundation funds Project REACH, an energy assistance program that is administered by United Way of Southern Nevada. Customers MUST bring a valid Nevada driver’s license or Nevada State ID, past-due NV Energy electric bill, and proof of income or pending income. Anyone who has received energy assistance within the previous 12 months is not eligible to receive assistance but can take advantage of other resources offered at the event. Many other organizations will also be offering various services to seniors at the expo, including Southwest Gas, CenturyLink, Nevada Welfare Division, and the Social Security Administration. For full details on the event, qualifications and required documentation for assistance, please visit NV Energy’s Senior Energy Assistance Expo website.
