Nevada Health Link Hosts Open Enrollment Health Fair Nov. 1
Nevada residents seeking affordable, high-quality, income-appropriate health insurance are invited to attend the Southern Nevada open enrollment health fair hosted by Nevada Health Link. The event launches the open enrollment period which runs through January 31, 2016. It offers attendees opportunities to speak one-on-one with licensed broker agents and certified enrollment assisters who can help residents apply for insurance, navigate the application process and answer questions about eligibility requirements and plans. In addition, attendees will have immediate access to information about federal tax credits and subsidies to help cover insurance costs, important dates and deadlines and how and where they can enroll, including the opportunity to schedule in-person appointments with licensed brokers nearest to them if they choose not to enroll that day. Food trucks and various other food vendors will be selling small bites and beverages, and various health service providers will offer free health screenings including blood pressure checks and vision exams. For more information to determine if you qualify for low cost insurance offered through Nevada Health Link, visit www.nevadahealthlink.com, like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter. Here you can get answers to your questions, determine the best plan for your needs, compare plans by price and coverage, learn what you need to bring with you to enroll in-person during the health fair and even find an insurance broker agent based on current address. To apply for and purchase insurance on NevadaHealthLink.com, you must be lawfully present in the U.S. and reside in the state of Nevada. It is recommended that individuals answer a list of pre-screening questions here to determine qualification for free or reduced medical coverage. The health insurance open enrollment period begins Sunday, Nov. 1 and closes Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016 and serves to assist new potential clients not previously or currently covered by a health care plan. Individuals will also learn valuable information about other types of health coverage for which they may be better suited, including Medicaid.
